About

I am currently in the final stage of my BSc Psychology with Counselling at Arden University, which I expect to complete in September 2026, and I am now particularly motivated to develop my professional career within healthcare, mental health and social care.
Through my Psychology with Counselling studies, I have developed an increasing understanding of psychological wellbeing, human behaviour and the importance of empathetic, person-centred communication. My degree has also strengthened my listening, communication, research and analytical skills and reinforced the importance of treating individuals with dignity, respect and without judgement.
Although my previous professional experience has not been directly within healthcare, I have developed many transferable skills that I believe would be valuable as a Healthcare Assistant. Throughout my career I have worked in responsible and customer-facing positions where I have supported people from diverse backgrounds, responded to concerns, maintained accurate records, worked collaboratively with colleagues and remained calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
My previous experience has also taught me the importance of reliability, attention to detail, teamwork and following established procedures. I understand that working as a Healthcare Assistant requires compassion and patience alongside the ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries, respect confidentiality and support individuals' dignity, independence and wellbeing.
I am particularly attracted to this opportunity because it would allow me to combine the interpersonal and psychological knowledge I am developing through my degree with practical experience supporting people. I am keen to learn from experienced healthcare professionals, undertake the training required for the role and contribute positively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
I would bring a strong work ethic, maturity, empathy and a genuine commitment to providing respectful and compassionate support. As a multilingual individual, with Spanish as my first language as well as English, Portuguese and Italian language skills, I am also comfortable communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds.
