About
During my career, I have spent over 20 years coaching in various different formats and societal areas, ranging from my early days of sports coaching, up to more recent years where I have coached large groups within large organisational settings, educators and adults within both the education and community settings and young people with specialist needs within the SEN and SEMH portion of education. Over this time, I have had a large input into the support and development of those with SEN needs, including training and developments sessions for staff on needs of those with SEN to creating positive behaviour support plans for individual children to ensure their specific needs are met. In my most recent fixed post, I delivered therapeutic interventions, spanning a large range of topic areas including emotional regulation, sensory awareness, communication, anger and anxiety management, as well as delivering interventions with my therapy dog Fudge and lego therapy group sessions too. Further to this, I have also organised referrals across to the school senior leadership team and interventions lead in relation to individual long term support needs for children within the school
Over the past 5 years, I have done a lot of work surrounding project and programme management work across the sectors I have worked in, including multiple youth community programmes, the creation and implementation of the disability support network and training and development programmes at WHSmith and therapeutic interventions within my most recent education setting. Alongside this, I have work as a peer educator for an Autism charity, delivering workshops and one to one support sessions to parents, carers and educators on autism and sharing my 37 years lived experience being an auDHD adult to support others knowledge and understanding
Alongside my professional experiences, I have gained additional professional accredited qualifications, including wellbeing and life coaching, sleep, mindfulness and breathwork coaching, deputy safeguarding lead certificate and most recently, I became a CPD accredited ADHD assessor. Iam continually seeking to expand my professional qualification portfolio, to work alongside all of my professional experiences
I most recently have started my own business within the coaching realm, delivering all of my coaching expertise and supporting community organisations and educational settings within all person centred and group educational needs to better the lives of everyone
Whether it is delivering person centred coaching, group coaching, organisational development or project and programme management, I’m seeking to work with others and organisations that prioritise the care and development of all those that they work with and work for. My passion is helping others, specifically those with additional needs, and building programmes and projects to get the best out of every situation for everyone
