The Role
We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Inverness on a full-time basis. This role involves supporting young adults living in a four-bedroom home.
You will play a key role in helping individuals achieve their goals, build life skills, and engage with their community. This post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9;Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with mild learning disabilities
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household activities
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and developing social networks
- Promote independence and confidence through the development of life skills
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and colleagues to create and follow individual support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safeguarding procedures
About You
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential; full training is provided
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to high standards of care
- Confident in using Microsoft Word and SharePoint
- A full, clean driving licence is essential
