Senior Carer / Supervisor - (Domiciliary Care)

Job role:
The Field Care Supervisor works closely with a team of six, supported by the Registered Care Manager, Operations support lead, and Senior management team, to ensure compliance across the entire business structure and care delivery processes.
Planned duty lists are scheduled for each shift; however, you will be expected to think on your feet and understand your customer and staff base to input into this schedule, and have the ability to react to priority and emergency situations that arise.
Responsibility
- You are expected to ensure the highest quality of care delivery, support and monitoring. We conduct assessments and reviews of individual service users and provide practical supervision, instruction, and support to our community care workers.
- You will also be required to undertake spot checks and performance monitoring.
- As part of the team, you will monitor and assess service provision to offer valuable and innovative ideas and approaches for improvement and progression, as our business model expands.
- You will work closely with the dedicated coordinator to optimise schedules and deploy our reliable workforce, ensuring that all our existing and new service users receive the highest standards in the delivery of care.
- The post rotates on a shift basis, involving a two / to three-week shift pattern. Your role will cross between in and out of office hours, you will be responsible for monitoring any out-of-hours inquiries and allocating care staff to cover occasional sickness of rostered staff on early and late shifts.
- Additionally, you will support the out-of-hours facility on rotating weekends. (There will be standby care staff as the first line of sickness cover.)
- The weekend out-of-hours service involves holding the on-call phone and undertaking pre-planned operational requirements. Sickness cover will be sourced from our bank of full-time care staff.
Note: Company vehicles are available for each shift to support you within the role.
Daily Work/Shift Pattern:
- AM Shift - 6 am to 2 pm Mon-Fri or Sat-Sun on rostered shift weekend.
- PM Shift - 2 pm to 10 pm Mon - Fri or Sat - Sun on rostered shift weekend.
Job Role Requirements:
- Level 2 Care Qualification (Essential)
- Level 3 Care Qualification or working towards (Minimum)
- Proven experience in a prior post is preferable
- An application to maintain care delivery compliance to the highest standards
- Full Driving Licence
- Good IT Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential
