About the role
As a Care & Support Worker, you’ll support Individuals in the community across Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend. Your work will be guided by outcomes—helping people build independence, confidence, and connection in ways that matter to them.
This could include supporting someone to regain confidence to shop independently, maintain routines at home, access their community, or build social connections—always in a way that protects dignity, choice, and control.
Key responsibilities
You’ll be part of a compassionate, connected, and values-driven team, with responsibilities including:
- Supporting Individuals to work towards personal goals, outcomes, and meaningful routines
- Promoting independence, choice, and dignity in everyday life
- Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, medication support, and practical tasks
- Encouraging and recording progress and outcomes in a consistent way
- Using our digital app for secure record-keeping and communication
- Building positive relationships with Individuals, families, and your wider care team
- Following best practice in safeguarding, risk assessment, and safe working
- Communicating clearly—raising concerns early and working together to find solutions
What you’ll need
- A genuine desire to make lives better and support people respectfully
- A driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance
- Willingness to use your own phone/device for work purposes
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays (as required by the rota)
- The ability to work with integrity, compassion, and professionalism—especially when things are challenging
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in social care or support work (preferred: 1 year)
- Knowledge of the Social Services & Well-being (Wales) Act
- Health & Social Care qualifications (e.g., QCF Level 2 preferred)
- Fluent English (preferred)
