Registered Care Manager
Being a manager is more than just a job—it's about making a real difference in people's lives every single day. We're looking for a passionate, caring, and ambitious Registered Care Manager to join our dynamic team at Visiting Angels South East London.
Why Join Us?
Our business model is simple: we look after our staff so they can be the best versions of themselves. With a 93% retention rate amongst our carers, we've created something special, a workplace where people want to stay, grow, and thrive. This consistency means we can provide our clients with the high-quality, compassionate care they deserve, delivered by familiar faces they trust.
We're looking for an experienced and accomplished Registered Care Manager who shares our values, is purpose-driven, and ready to join a trusted brand in a genuinely supportive environment.
Here, you won't have to compromise on the quality of care. We give you the time, tools, and team you need to do things the right way, because we believe that great care can't be rushed.
This role is different. You'll have realistic caseloads, a supportive senior leadership team, and a culture that truly values people over profit. You'll be empowered to be a real advocate for your clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met with dignity and compassion.
This is leadership that matters—where you can make meaningful, lasting impacts in the lives of both clients and caregivers.
The Role: Registered Care Manager
Location: Southwark, London (SE16)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 base + performance bonus (OTE £50,000)
Competitive package reflecting the level of experience required. We're looking for someone who brings proven RCM expertise and can hit the ground running.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
About You: The Ideal Candidate
You're an experienced Registered Care Manager who's ready to bring your expertise to a team that will truly value it. You've been in the trenches, you know what great care looks like, and you're ready to lead with purpose.
You have:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (completed)
- CQC registration and experience managing through CQC inspections—you know the regulations inside and out
- Hands-on experience running a domiciliary care office—you've led teams, managed day-to-day operations, and know what it takes to keep everything running smoothly
- A strong focus on quality and compliance—you believe great care and good governance go hand in hand
- A compassionate approach—you genuinely care about the wellbeing of both clients and your team
But more than that, you're:
- Growth-oriented and proactive - when a new client comes in, you see it as an opportunity, not a burden
- Solution-focused and resourceful - you find ways to make care packages work rather than reasons why they can't
- Ambitious - you want to build something meaningful and make a real impact
- Driven by quality and compliance, you understand that doing things right and doing them efficiently aren't mutually exclusive
- You understand that timely onboarding matters—both for business growth and for clients who need care now. You don't wait for the "perfect" scenario; you make things happen while maintaining the high standards that matter.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading with Quality & Compassion
- Conduct care assessments, develop personalised care plans, and review them regularly
- Build strong relationships with clients and families, handling concerns with empathy
Managing Your Team
- Oversee all people management—recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and appraisals—working alongside your Care Coordinator, who manages scheduling and operations
- Support and develop your care team through mentoring, spot checks, and fostering a positive culture
Compliance & Standards
- Maintain CQC compliance, conduct audits, and ensure the branch is always inspection-ready
- Manage safeguarding, incidents, and complaints in line with policies
Growing the Service
- Handle enquiries and onboard new clients efficiently while maintaining quality
- Build relationships with referral sources and community partners
On-Call Support
Rotational on-call duties (typically low-volume)
What We Offer
Compensation & Growth
- Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable based on experience, with an increase after successful probation)
- Performance bonus based on branch growth and quality metrics (OTE £50,000)
- Be part of a supportive network - 72 branches across the UK and 700+ worldwide, giving you access to resources, best practices, and a community of care professionals
Time Off & Flexibility
- 28 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year after 2 years (up to 33 days)
- On-call duties on a rotational basis (typically once monthly), with the schedule adjusted as we grow
The Real Benefits - What Makes This Role Different
- Realistic caseloads - You'll have the time and support to deliver quality care without being stretched impossibly thin
- Autonomy and trust - We hire experienced professionals and let them lead. You'll have the freedom to make decisions without micromanagement
- Supportive senior leadership - You won't be doing this alone. You'll have backup, guidance, and a team that genuinely has your back
- A culture that values people over profit - Our 93% carer retention rate isn't an accident. We do things right, and that starts with how we treat our team
Additional Perks
- Company pension scheme
- Free parking
- Company events and team socials
- Recognition rewards, including gifts/spa treatments
