Registered Area Manager - Supported Living
Location: Yorkshire, main base Barnsley ( Covering Leeds, Huddersfield, and Barnsley)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Due to continued growth, we're on the lookout for an exceptional Registered Area Manager to oversee and develop a portfolio of our supported living services. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in CQC compliance, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of complex care provision.
The Role
As a Registered Area Manager, you'll be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and quality assurance of multiple supported living services within your designated area.
You'll ensure the delivery of safe, effective, responsive, and well-led care, always striving for outstanding outcomes for the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of services, ensuring efficient resource allocation, budgetary control, and effective rostering.
- Quality Assurance & CQC Compliance: Drive continuous improvement, ensuring all services meet and exceed CQC regulatory requirements and our internal quality standards. You'll lead on CQC inspections and respond to any findings.
- Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, manage, mentor, and motivate a team of Service Managers and their teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and person-centred care.
- Complex Care Expertise: Provide expert guidance and oversight for individuals with diverse and complex care needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, challenging behaviour, and physical disabilities.
- Safeguarding: Act as a safeguarding champion, ensuring robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to across all services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
- Growth & Development: Identify opportunities for service development and expansion, contributing to the strategic growth of the organisation.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and staff.
About You
- Essential: Current CQC Registered Manager status with a proven track record of managing multiple services, preferably within supported living.
- Essential: Extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex care needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of best practice in this area.
- Strong Leadership: A natural leader with the ability to inspire, empower, and develop high-performing teams.
- Operational Acumen: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding of budgetary management and financial controls.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for travel across your designated area.
- Qualifications: Relevant professional qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, or equivalent).
