Registered Manager – New Children’s Residential Home (EBD / LD)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We’re working alongside a new and ambitious children’s residential care provider preparing to open their first children’s home in Oldham, and they’re now seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service through registration and beyond.
The home will support young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). While the provider has a clear vision around quality and child-centred care, they are committed to giving the Registered Manager genuine autonomy to shape the home’s culture, model of care, and day-to-day practice.
The Responsible Individual is already in place and will provide hands-on, practical support throughout the Ofsted registration process and ongoing operation of the service.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take the lead on:
- Submitting and managing the Ofsted registration application
- Preparing the home for registration and inspection
- Developing the Statement of Purpose, policies, and procedures
- Recruiting, onboarding, and leading the staff team
- Embedding high standards of safeguarding and compliance
- Creating a nurturing, therapeutic environment where young people can thrive
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys building services from the ground up and wants real influence over how a home is run.
