An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our skilled clinical team in delivering exceptional surgical care for the population of Tayside and North East Fife. Ward 12 plays an integral role in the management of patients with peripheral arterial disease.
About Role
We are seeking to appoint a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) who possesses the skills and passion to deliver care in this fast-paced and unpredictable environment.
Ward 12 provides both scheduled and unscheduled care for complex and frail patients requiring major arterial surgeries, complex wound management, ongoing input from a multidisciplinary team, and social care input. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to enhance their surgical skills and offers a variety of development and educational prospects in a well-supported environment.
Duties
- Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate that they are an effective communicator who works well within a team.
- You must have the ability and commitment to work as part of a team delivering high standards of patient care and continue to improve patient experience.
- Experience in a caring environment would be desirable, although not essential; however, you should have a flexible approach to working and an interest in dealing with a wide age range of people with a vascular disease.
- Excellent communication skills, basic numeracy skills, and a caring and understanding nature are essential.
- Hours will be worked over 7 days and include day and night rotation.
- You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment
