Role Overview
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a pivotal role in delivering outstanding care and support to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing, dignity, and comfort at all times.
This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.52 to £14.27, reflecting the skills and commitment required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised, compassionate care to residents in accordance with their care plans and preferences.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal support.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and mental health to the nursing team promptly.
- Support residents to maintain social and recreational activities, encouraging independence and wellbeing.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a care assistant or similar role within health, nursing, or social care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete care records accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and obtain care qualifications such as the Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
