Job Title: Registered Manager (Domiciliary Care)
Location: Berkshire/Surrey Area
Salary: £50-55k basic plus bonus OTE £55-60k
The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and accountable Registered Manager to lead our established home care branch. You will be fully responsible for the strategic and operational success of the service, ensuring total CQC compliance while managing care delivery for a diverse client group, including children, young people, and adults.
Your mission is to drive the service toward Outstanding through robust leadership, financial oversight, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
CQC Compliance & Governance
- Act as the Registered Manager with full accountability for CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act.
- Lead bimonthly audits and maintain "inspection readiness" at all times.
- Manage safeguarding as the DSL, ensuring compliance with the Care Act and MCA/DoLS.
Financial & Business Management
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and payroll accuracy.
- Manage invoicing, credit control, and care hour reconciliation.
- Drive business growth by converting enquiries into care packages and meeting monthly KPIs.
Leadership & Workforce Development
- Manage and develop the office and field-based teams, including Coordinators and Team Leaders.
- Implement a robust training strategy, including induction and specialist "Train the Trainer" programs.
- Embed a culture of accountability, reflective practice, and trauma-informed care.
Operations & Quality Assurance
- Oversee safe client onboarding, assessments, and person-centred care planning.
- Oversee the digital rota system to ensure continuity of care and safe staffing levels.
- Lead complaint investigations and feedback loops to ensure continuous service improvement.
- Participate in and manage the on-call rota, including emergency cover when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a domiciliary or complex care setting. (min 2-3 years)
- Deep knowledge of CQC regulations, the Children Act, and the Care Act.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and KPI management.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on performance management.
- Proficiency in digital care management systems
- Full UK Driving License.
