Overview
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB), and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join our well‑established Community Nursing team based at the New Romney Clinic. Our service supports patients registered with GP practices across the New Romney, Dymchurch, and Lydd Primary Care Network. We provide personalised nursing care to adults with complex and long‑term conditions, helping them remain safe, well, and independent in their own homes.
The service operates seven days a week from 08:00–16:00, with occasional late shifts (10:00–18:00) on rotation. As a valued member of the team, you will benefit from the experience, knowledge, and supportive culture of an established service committed to developing your skills and confidence in community nursing.
We are looking for an adaptable and compassionate Community Staff Nurse to join our caring and progressive team. You will work within a close‑knit group dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people in the New Romney area.
About Us
Community nursing plays a vital role in delivering proactive, patient‑centred care that helps people stay at home for longer. You will provide holistic assessments, deliver evidence‑based interventions, and build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. Our teams work closely with local Primary Care Networks to ensure care is joined‑up and responsive, treating the whole person rather than just the condition. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your community nursing skills within a supportive, forward‑thinking service.
