Radiant Care Homes is looking for a passionate, experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead one of our children’s residential care homes in Reading
This role will initially focus on managing one children’s residential home. Depending on the successful candidate’s experience, leadership capability and the needs of the service, there may be an opportunity to oversee a second nearby home with appropriate support in place.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, leadership and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and stable environment where children and young people can thrive and build brighter futures.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading, managing and developing the staff team
• Ensuring the home meets Ofsted regulations and achieves strong outcomes
• Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children
• Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding processes
• Managing staffing, rotas, budgets and daily operations
• Liaising with local authorities, schools, families and health professionals
• Promoting a positive, professional and child-centred culture within the home
• Supporting service development and continuous improvement across the home
We are looking for someone with:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within a children’s residential setting
• Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Experience leading inspections, audits or quality improvement processes
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate, support and develop a staff team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one
What we offer:
• Competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per year
• A higher package may be considered for an experienced Registered Manager overseeing more than one home
