Registered Manager – Carex Group Ltd
Carex Group is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Registered Manager who doesn’t just manage a service—but knows how to build one.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands CQC compliance, and has the vision and drive to grow a successful domiciliary care business from the ground up. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities, develops partnerships, and creates sustainable growth while maintaining outstanding standards of care.
If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the future of an organisation, this is it.
Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the operational, regulatory, and commercial success of Carex Group. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the service while driving business development, expanding care packages, and building long-term relationships with commissioners, local authorities, NHS partners, and private clients.
This is not a desk-based management role—we are looking for a business leader with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and maintain compliance with CQC regulations.
- Lead and grow a high-performing domiciliary care service.
- Develop strong relationships with Local Authorities, NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Social Workers, Hospital Discharge Teams, and private clients.
- Secure new care packages and framework opportunities.
- Drive occupancy, business growth, and revenue.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead care coordinators, supervisors, and care staff.
- Ensure outstanding quality, safeguarding, governance, and compliance.
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare the organisation for CQC inspections and maintain excellent standards.
- Develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Implement systems and processes that support sustainable growth.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in Adult Social Care.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in managing domiciliary or community care services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to grow a healthcare business.
- Experience working with Local Authorities, NHS, and commissioners.
- Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Existing relationships with Local Authorities and commissioning teams.
- Experience mobilising new care services or turning around underperforming services.
- Knowledge of tendering, framework applications, and business development.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation.
- Successfully register and strengthen the Carex Group service.
- Build a high-performing and motivated care team.
- Increase care package referrals and client numbers.
- Establish strong relationships with Local Authorities and NHS partners.
- Deliver an excellent CQC inspection outcome.
- Contribute significantly to the commercial growth of Carex Group.
