Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Performance Bonus (OTE up to £65,000)

Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a children's residential home supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing provider at one of their recently renovated homes, where you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that enables children and young people to thrive, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Applications are welcomed from experienced Registered Managers as well as ambitious Deputy Managers who are ready to take the next step into registration. Full support and development will be provided for the right candidate to achieve Ofsted registration.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children's home.
- Ensure the home consistently meets Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children and young people with Learning Disabilities and additional needs.
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans that promote independence, communication, emotional wellbeing, and life skills.
- Work collaboratively with families, education providers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the organisation's ongoing growth and success.
Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a children's residential care setting.
- Previous Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience within children's residential services.
- Experience supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities and additional needs.
- Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience preparing for and participating in Ofsted inspections.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and promoting independence.
- A child-centred approach with a passion for improving outcomes for young people.
