Toto are looking for a Registered Manager to lead our brand new home in Sefton, caring for children with complex physical, emotional and learning needs.
Working closely with your team, you will ensure that we provide exceptional experiences and outcomes for our children, making wonderful memories along the way.
You will lead by example, promoting the vision, mission, and values of Toto in all aspects of your work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading and managing your home and team to provide high level quality care, compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
- Ensuring that the views, wishes and feelings of our children underpin practise; shaping decision-making at all times with the child at the heart of everything that you do.
- Provide a safe living and working environment for your children and the team caring for them; establishing a strong safeguarding culture and ethos, aligned to all organisational policies and procedures.
- Deliver against expectations for Record Keeping, Care Planning and Quality Assurance Process; ensuring effective use of our electronic record keeping systems at all times.
- To participate in all matters relating to placement referrals. This will include requesting and reviewing all information pertaining to the child and arranging visits to the child’s home, placement, and school. This may involve travel and overnight stays as required.
- Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic care approach underpinned by PACE principles.
- Gather and act upon stakeholder feedback ensuring this underpins our approaches to care delivery
- Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to promote continuous professional development.
- Complete manager audits and Regulation 45 Quality of Care Reviews, alongside leading on Regulation 44 visits.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high standards of care.
Skills and Experience Required
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or the willingness to work towards
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Children’s Home Manager with a history of positive OFSTED gradings
- Experience of working with children with complex physical, emotional and learning needs
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability
- Professional manner and effective communicator with external agencies
