Role: Regional/Registered Manager
Salary: 60K per annum
Location: Hybrid role with regional office in Leyland, North-West .
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 9.00 am – 5.00 pm with half an hour lunch / on-call rota
Annual Leave: 28 days plus 8 Bank Holidays. In line with their new Pay Policy, you will receive an additional day after every 2 years of service (up to a maximum of 4 days) plus your birthday off every year.
PRP: Discretionary Scheme after 6-months successful probation based on regional growth
Probation: 6-months (with an interim review after 3-month)
Notice: 12 weeks
Sick Pay: Discretionary sick pay
Mileage: 0.45p per mile. After 10,000 miles

We're working with an independent fostering agency that are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Regional/Registered Manager in their North West office to lead and oversee multiple care facilities within a designated region. This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality and care.
The applicant should be qualified in a recognised social work degree that is approved by Social Work England and will be both registered and work in line with the professional standards, ethics and values of this governing body.
Their focus is to achieve positive experiences for the children and young people looked after by their dedicated foster carers. They have built strong relationships with Local Authorities across the UK to provide a range of exceptional children’s services delivered by a team of motivated, highly competent practitioners.

The Role:
- To work in close liaison with the Operations Director, Deputy Operations Director and Heads of Service to develop the fostering service in a specified regional area.
- Managing the fostering service to ensure that it is financially viable for the purpose of achieving the aims and objectives set out in the Statement of Purpose.
- To adhere to relevant legislation regulation and company policies and procedures to work consistently with Fusion’s core values and deliver best practice standards of work to ensure that all services for young people are delivered to a high standard across the region and maintaining a system for improving the quality of foster care provided.
- As the register manager you will be required to monitor all schedule 6 & 7’s under the Fostering Regulations 2011.
- Leading on and driving the Safeguarding Children Policy across the region, as required and be responsible for ensuring accurate records on allegations/investigations are kept and report to Ofsted/LADO, as appropriate.
- Producing monthly reports on all areas of the Agency and feedback these reports to the Operations Director and completing annual reports for Fostering Panel.
- Ensuring that any reports required by Ofsted or other third-party organisations are completed to agreed timescales and quality of work.
- To keep abreast of new legislation, guidance, policy direction, effective good practice, and research in order to continually improve good practice within the Agency.
- To maintain a child-centered approach, fundamental to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child. To keep the child in focus when making decisions about their lives and working in partnership with them and their families.
- Take part in the managers on-call rota.
You will:
- Able to satisfy Ofsted as a Registered Manager (Fostering Services Regulations 2011).
- Possesses a recognised and accredited social work qualification with Social Work England registration.
- Experience of managing fostering services for at least two years within the last five.
- Proven staff management experience and leadership skills including recruitment, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary action.
- Keep and maintain excellent compliance levels and consistently meet KPI targets.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Budgeting and financial control capabilities.
- Ability to run the day-to-day practice of the fostering agency.
- Negotiating and making placements with Local Authorities.
- Have or be willing to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership.
- A high level of literacy and numeracy.
- An ability to maintain judgement when working under pressure.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- Ability to provide reports on a monthly/yearly basis.
