Volunteer Recovery Support Worker

Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Volunteer Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities

With this role, you’ll be working as part of Recovery Support Team based in Chorley.

The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day to day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give, you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.

This is what one of our Volunteer Recovery Support Volunteers had to say.

“Seeing people move in their treatment journey and seeing a zest in life coming back in their lives is so rewarding”.

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you so click apply.
