Clarendon Care Services Ltd is looking for a caring, reliable cook to join our friendly team and take pride in food that makes a difference.
YOUR ROLE
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Full-time
Location: Walton Pool Lane, Clent, Stourbridge, DY9 9RP.
What You'll Do
- Prepare wholesome, appetising meals from fresh ingredients, following the home's rotating menus.
- Bake cakes, biscuits and desserts that bring enjoyment and variety to residents' days.
- Cater for individual dietary needs, allergies, cultural preferences and prescribed texture-modified diets, working with the care team.
- Keep food safety records, temperature checks and cleaning schedules up to date.
- Organise stock, minimise waste and support kitchen assistants in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe and well organised.
What You'll Bring
- Experience preparing meals in a professional kitchen.
- A Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
- An understanding of safe food handling, allergen management and catering for different dietary requirements.
- Good organisation, teamwork and communication skills.
- A friendly, compassionate approach and pride in serving older people well.
Care-home experience is welcome but not essential. We'll support you with induction, mandatory training and ongoing development.
