Health Care Assistant/Support Worker
Overview

Duties
- Assist with daily personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support residents or clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Follow individualised care plans to meet the specific needs of each person
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Support medication administration under supervision and report any concerns promptly
- Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations or home visits
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and following digital care plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
