Paediatric Community Care Assistant (Nights – 2:1 Package)
Location: Buckinghamshire (Community-Based)
Hours: Nights Available (2:1 night shifts)
Pay Rate: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour
Job Description
Care First 24 is recruiting Paediatric Community Care Assistants to support children and young people with complex health needs in their own homes across Buckinghamshire.
This role involves delivering high-quality clinical and personal care in a community setting. We have 2:1 night shift packages available, as well as flexible day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, person-centred care to children with complex medical needs in the home
- Deliver clinical care, including:
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- PEG / JEG feeding and management
- BIPAP
- Stoma care
- Respiratory support (oxygen therapy, ventilation support, airway management)
- Epilepsy management and administration of emergency medication
- Monitor and respond to changes in the child’s condition
- Work in partnership with families and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for children and families
Requirements
- Experience in paediatric or community care is preferred but not essential
- Confidence in tracheostomy care, PEG/JEG feeding, respiratory care, and epilepsy management
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
- Ability to work independently in a home setting
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
