Job Overview
Angel Carers is a well-established domiciliary and live-in care provider with over 30 years’ experience delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Dorset, Devon, and South Somerset.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Registered Manager to lead and grow our service. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for regulatory compliance, operational excellence, financial performance, and sustainable business growth.
An interim appointment will also be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Provide visible, inspirational leadership to a multidisciplinary care team.
- Develop a positive, high-performance culture focused on compassion, quality, and accountability.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, supervision, and performance management.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain robust safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance systems.
- Lead governance, audit, and continuous improvement activity.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Drive service growth across domiciliary, respite, and live-in care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Local authority commissioners
- Multi-agency frameworks
- Hospital discharge teams
- Integrated care partners
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and tender submissions.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage budgets and ensure strong financial performance.
- Deliver against agreed KPIs (quality, compliance, growth, and performance).
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and sales acumen.
- Support sustainable company expansion in rural operating areas.
Service Delivery
- Ensure high-quality care for individuals with:
- Dementia
- Learning disabilities
- Complex needs
- Respite requirements
- Live-in care needs
- Maintain outstanding person-centred care standards.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ senior leadership experience in the care sector
- Strong background in domiciliary care, ideally including live-in services
- Experience operating in rural care settings
- Proven track record working with:
- Commissioners
- Local authority contracts
- Framework agreements across multiple regions
- Demonstrable budget management and financial oversight experience
- Strong understanding of KPI delivery and quality improvement
- Commercial mindset with business development experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

- Track record of developing and retaining high-performing teams
