We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support and companionship to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services.

Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Helping clients maintain their independence whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Following individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assisting with medication reminders in accordance with care plans
- Documenting care provided accurately and reporting any concerns or changes in client condition to senior staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients at all times
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a care home or home care setting
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong organisational skills to follow detailed care plans accurately
- A driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or community-based support
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect towards clients
- Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to the care environment
