Children's Registered Manager to develop and nurture a stunning new home for Children and Young People.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to join a brand-new home, the home is spacious, recently renovated to the highest standard with a large garden and will be registered with Ofsted for up-to three children and young people. You will have the ability to put your own vision, values, and leadership style into practice and have full autonomy over referrals, allowing you to create the right environment for the children and young people who will call the home their own.
You will be joining a passionate organisation who provides beautiful, safe and secure homes for Children and Young people aged 7-17 with backgrounds of emotional behavioural difficulties. Their homes offer long term placements where children and young people receive a high level of nurturing and therapeutic care. Children and Young people are instilled with confidence and life skills, aiming for the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the residential home and staff team.
- Promote a positive, therapeutic and child-centred culture within the home.
- Ensure all staff understand and implement the Children’s Homes Regulations and QualityStandards.
- Ensure safeguarding is central to all practice within the home.
- Manage and report safeguarding concerns in line with statutory requirements.
- Ensure all staff follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Monitor and review care planning to ensure it meets the individual needs of each child.
- Promote therapeutic approaches including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and PACE.
Requirements:
- Previous management experience within Residential Childcare is essential
- Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or be working towards
- Level 3 residential childcare or Level 4 Children, Young people and Families
- Hold a full UK Driving licence
