About Us
We are looking for caring and reliable Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our small team in Surbiton, Chessington, Tolworth, Kingston, and Epsom. This is a companionship-focused role that supports older adults in living independently at home through friendly visits, light daily support, and meaningful social interaction.
This is a flexible, zero-hours arrangement based on client needs and your availability, with the community building consistent local work as our service grows. Travel time and mileage will be paid.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly visits and meaningful companionship to clients
- Support with meal preparation and encouragement of healthy eating.
- Assist with light household tasks
- Help with shopping, errands, and attending an appointment
- Accompany clients on walks, outings, and social activities
- offer emotional support and help reduce loneliness
- Observe any changes in the client's wellbeing
- maintain dignity, respect, and person-centred care at all times
- Follow the care plan and company policies.
Requirements
- A kind, friendly, committed, and reliable personality with a genuine interest in supporting older people
- Good communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients.
- A patient and compassionate approach with a good understanding of supporting individuals to get a positive outcome.
- Right to work in the UK.
- prefer to Base locally in Surbiton, Chessington, Tolworth or nearby areas
- Previous care or support experience is welcome but not essential
- Willingness to complete training and ongoing learning
- Enhanced DBS check
- Availability to provide references
- Flexible availability, including some evenings or weekends
- Willingness to work locally and build consistency and commitment towards work.
