Registered Care Manager - Chingford
Pay: £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
We are supporting an established and highly regarded home care provider in Chingford and Loughton with the appointment of an experienced Registered Care Manager.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a growing domiciliary care service, working closely with the business owner and an experienced wider team.
The service is well established, CQC rated Good, supports a predominantly private client base and currently delivers approximately 300 hours of care each week alongside a small number of live in care packages.
The successful person will take responsibility for the day to day delivery and quality of the service, allowing the owner to focus more heavily on continued growth.
The role
You will be responsible for:
• Leading the day to day operation of the domiciliary care service
• Supporting, developing and managing the care team
• Spending meaningful time in the field with clients and care professionals
• Conducting client assessments, reviews and care planning
• Maintaining excellent standards of quality, compliance and safeguarding
• Ensuring the service remains fully prepared for CQC requirements
• Managing complaints, incidents and operational issues effectively
• Supporting recruitment, retention and development of care professionals
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and their families
• Participating in the on call rota
• Supporting continuity of care and, where necessary, helping with client visits while the team grows
• Working closely with the owner to improve and grow the service
Who we are looking for
We would particularly like to speak with people who have:
• Experience managing or helping to manage a domiciliary home care service
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards
• Experience working directly with clients, families and care professionals
• A hands on approach and genuine willingness to spend time in the field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a busy care environment
• A commercial understanding of delivering excellent private home care
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience working with private, self funded clients would be particularly valuable.
You may already be a Registered Manager, or an experienced Care Manager or Deputy Manager with the appropriate background and ambition to take the next step.
The opportunity
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage entirely from behind a desk.
The business is looking for someone who enjoys being close to the service, knows their clients and care team, and can combine excellent care standards with strong day to day leadership.
For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to make the service their own and play an important role in its next stage of growth.
