Registered Home Manager - Nursing Elderly Care

As Nursing Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective operational, clinical and commercial management of Broadway Nursing Home. You will provide visible leadership to the team, ensuring that residents receive consistently high standards of safe, effective and person-centred care.
We are a large Care Home provider consisting of 33 Care Homes in the North and Northwest of England, celebrating 19 years of excellence in providing a happy and homely environment for our residents.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to lead our team at Broadway Nursing Home in Blackpool. Naturally, it is important you share our Company Values of Family, Honesty and Respect.

You will be responsible for:
- Providing strong and visible leadership across the home.
- Ensuring the highest standards of resident care, dignity, wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and CQC requirements.
- Leading the home through inspection, audit and continuous improvement activity.
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments, medication management and clinical records are accurate, person-centred and regularly reviewed.
- Working closely with residents, relatives and representatives to ensure their views and experiences shape the service.
- Leading, motivating, developing and retaining a high-performing team.
- Managing recruitment, induction, supervision, performance and attendance.
- Creating a positive culture where colleagues feel valued, supported and accountable.
- Monitoring staffing levels, rotas and resource requirements to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Managing incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and investigations effectively.
- Building strong relationships with GPs, district nurses, local authorities, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders.
- Monitoring budgets, occupancy and financial performance.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of the service.
- Ensuring the home remains a welcoming, vibrant and positive environment for residents, families and colleagues.
Experience
We are looking for an experienced care professional with a genuine passion for making a difference. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience managing a nursing or care home.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the adult social care regulatory framework.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, clinical governance and risk management.
- Experience of leading and developing care teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial and operational awareness.
- The ability to analyse information, identify areas for improvement and deliver sustainable change.
- Experience of managing budgets, staffing and resources.
- A proven ability to deal confidently with challenging situations and make sound decisions.
- A compassionate, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
- A commitment to developing both yourself and others.
A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent, would be desirable. A nursing qualification and current NMC registration would be advantageous given the nursing provision within the home.
