Genaron Care is looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate individual to join our growing organisation as a Registered Manager – Specialist Supported Living.
We are developing specialist supported living services across London for adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting stage of our development, helping to establish new services, recruit and develop teams, and shape the delivery of specialist, person-centred support.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a central role in establishing our supported living services and will be required to apply for CQC registration as the Registered Manager for Genaron Care's regulated activity of personal care.
You will work closely with our senior leadership team throughout the registration process, supporting the development of the service and demonstrating the necessary knowledge, experience and leadership to meet CQC requirements.
Following successful registration, you will take responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant delivery of our regulated personal care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the development and mobilisation of new specialist supported living services.
- Apply to the Care Quality Commission to become the Registered Manager for the regulated activity of personal care.
- Work closely with senior leadership to prepare for CQC registration, including assessments, interviews and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure services comply with CQC regulations and the principles of Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture.
- Lead the recruitment, induction, supervision and development of staff teams.
- Oversee assessments, referrals, support planning and complex transitions.
- Develop individualised support arrangements for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
- Embed Positive Behaviour Support, positive risk-taking and least restrictive practice.
- Maintain effective safeguarding, medication management, risk assessment and quality assurance systems.
- Work collaboratively with commissioners, social workers, NHS professionals, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide effective leadership to the Deputy Manager and wider staff team.
- Promote independence, genuine tenancy rights, community inclusion and positive outcomes for the people we support.
Essential requirements:
- Significant management experience within adult social care, ideally within specialist supported living.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
- Previous CQC Registered Manager experience, or demonstrable experience and readiness to undertake registration.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and the regulated activity of personal care.
- Experience in safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support, the Mental Capacity Act and least restrictive practice.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to establish and develop services and lead teams through change.
Experience supporting individuals transitioning from secure settings, managing complex placements or establishing new services would be particularly advantageous.
