Role Overview
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for the people you support. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing warm companionship and conversation
- Supporting individuals with mobility challenges or physical disabilities
- Assisting those recovering from illness with tasks such as feeding, medication, and bed care
- Offering compassionate palliative care when required
- Helping with morning and evening routines, including washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting
- Encouraging physical and mental stimulation through activities, outings, hobbies, reading, and social engagement
- Assisting with light household tasks
- Preparing meals and supporting nutritional needs
Requirements
Experience in care—whether professional or personal—is preferred but not essential. You must also have:
- A clear, valid DBS check
- The right to work in the UK
- A reliable and caring nature with a genuine passion for supporting others
