Registered Children’s Home Manager (EBD)
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (B98)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 basic (DOE)
Up to £60,000 for Outstanding Managers with a consistent Good/Outstanding history
Contract: Permanent | Full-time
Start Date: Flexible (minimum 4–6 weeks)
The Opportunity
Kindsight Recruitment is supporting the appointment of an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager for a 4-bed EBD children’s residential home in Redditch (B98).
This is a stable, well-supported service with an established leadership structure already in place, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced EBD Registered Manager to step into a role with strong infrastructure, incentives, and genuine support.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and management of a 4-bed EBD children’s home
- Maintain and improve Ofsted outcomes through strong quality assurance
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and SCCIF
- Lead, support, and develop the staff team
- Oversee safeguarding, care planning, staffing, and performance
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual, who provides weekly on-site support
- Promote a positive, structured, and child-centred culture
Essential Criteria (Strict – Please Read Carefully)
Only candidates who meet all of the following criteria will be considered.
- Current Registered Manager within a children’s EBD residential setting
- Proven Registered Manager experience (Deputy Managers stepping up will NOT be considered)
- Experience specifically within EBD services
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and SCCIF
We cannot consider:
- Deputy Managers seeking first RM role
- Registered Managers currently working in LD-only settings
Salary & Benefits
- £50,000 – £55,000 basic salary (DOE)
- £55,000 – £60,000 for Managers with consistent Good/Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Annual occupancy bonus
- Ofsted team bonus: £150–£200 per staff member
