Are you looking to develop your leadership skills within a community setting?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Nurse to join our dynamic management team as a Palliative care Lead at Wallingford Community Hospital on St Leonard's Ward.
If successful, you will be expected to lead and support the registered and unregistered nursing staff in their professional development and promote best practices in palliative and end-of-life care.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care to palliative and end-of-life patients and providing holistic support to their families.
You will work in partnership with key members of the Multidisciplinary Team in the hospital and external organisations like the Sue Ryder team to promote and facilitate effective patient care and discharge.
As a palliative care lead, you will influence the development and implementation of policies, protocols, and guidelines relevant to the ward area.
As part of the management team, it is our aim to improve the quality of care received and the experience of patients and their carers, through the implementation of initiatives which reflect the National Service Framework for Older People.
Face-to-face interviews are only available as a site visit, and ID checking is required.
Duties
The post holder will be required to maintain their clinical expert practice, whilst promoting and creating a wider vision for palliative and EOLC.
The post holder will support staff learning and development across the trust in palliative and EOLC to provide patient and family-centred care.
We understand your career development is important and the Trust offers exceptional training and development opportunities, whilst working in a supportive, friendly environment where new ideas are welcome and valued.
If you are a Nurse who has experience from an acute or community setting and are looking for a new, exciting challenge, then we would love to hear from you.
