Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a key leadership role, offering full operational responsibility for the home, with the opportunity to drive standards, build a strong team, and deliver positive, long-term outcomes for young people.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing staff team
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for young people
- Drive a culture of accountability, consistency and positive outcomes
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and standards
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management and incident processes
- Maintain high-quality care plans, assessments and documentation
- Lead on inspections and continuously improve service performance
Leadership & Operations
- Manage recruitment, staffing levels and workforce planning
- Deliver regular supervisions, appraisals and development plans
- Manage budgets, occupancy and overall service performance
- Work closely with senior leadership on service development and strategy
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and external professionals
- Represent the home professionally and maintain a positive reputation
- Ensure effective communication with families and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s home
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH / complex needs
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
- Confident leader with a track record of improving services and outcomes
