Step Forward Living is a new, small-scale supported living provider being established in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. We support adults with mental health needs to live independently in their own homes through person-centred, recovery-focused support.
We are dedicated to putting people before the process and are looking for a strong leader to help build and shape the service from the ground up.

About the Role:
You will lead the day-to-day running of a domiciliary supported living service, ensuring safe, high-quality care and full regulatory compliance.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a small, values-driven staff team
- Ensuring compliance with CIW and RISCA 2016
- Overseeing care planning, risk management, and reviews
- Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Managing rotas, staffing, and service delivery
- Driving quality, outcomes, and continuous improvement
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about mental health and recovery-focused support
- A confident leader who can build and motivate a team
- Organised, proactive, and committed to high standards
- Comfortable working in a growing and evolving service
Essential requirements:
- Experience in a senior or management role in health & social care
- Knowledge of supported living or domiciliary care
- Understanding of CIW / Welsh regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Qualifications:
- Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care (Leadership)
- Eligible to register with Social Care Wales as a manager
