About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a high-quality children's home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
You will play a key role in developing the home's culture,
recruiting and mentoring staff, and creating an environment that promotes stability, achievement, and positive life experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the registration and opening of the new home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
- Recruit, develop, and manage a skilled and motivated team
- Promote outstanding safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Manage budgets, occupancy, and operational performance
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external agencies
- Drive continuous improvement and achieve excellent outcomes for young people
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Home Manager within children's residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding legislation
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Passion for improving the lives of children and young people
- Full UK driving licence
