Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne for a Children's Residential Deputy Manager. The Deputy Manager will assist in the daily operations of a children's residential care home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading and supervising staff, managing budgets, maintaining a positive and supportive environment, and providing hands-on support to residents to help them grow and achieve their potential.
Qualifications
- Excellent Communication skills and the ability to connect with young people and a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong People Management and Training skills, including the ability to lead and develop a team of residential care staff.
- Experience in Residential Care or a background in similar settings, with a focus on supporting children with complex needs.
- Proficiency in Budgeting and financial management to ensure the efficient operation of the care home.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining compliance and high standards of care.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People.
- Understanding of safeguarding regulations and best practices in children's care.
