We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-registered children's home supporting young people with Learning Disabilities. About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment where young people can achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management and operation of the children's home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
- Inspire, develop, and support a high-performing residential care team
- Champion safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and person-centred care
- Manage staffing, budgets, rotas, and occupancy effectively
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping, care planning, and risk management
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Experience supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
- Full UK driving licence preferred
