Registered Manager - Children's Home
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager (or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step) to join a growing children's residential care provider in Manchester.

Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of a children's residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
You will lead, motivate and develop your staff team while creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Promote outstanding safeguarding practice and ensure the welfare of all young people remains the highest priority.
- Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality care standards.
- Manage budgets, occupancy and resources effectively.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, professionals, families and external agencies.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, working towards achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding outcomes.
- Create a positive culture focused on stability, development and exceptional care for young people.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and who has the leadership skills to build and inspire successful teams.
Essential
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into registration.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it).
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Proven experience leading teams within children's residential care.
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspections.
- Experience supporting service development and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing budgets and occupancy.
