Home Manager
Location: Bourne View, Poole, BH12 5BN
Pay: £90,000 per annum plus bonus
40 hours per week, including rostered weekends, occasional night visits and emergency on-call duties shared with the homes management team
Colten Care is recruiting a Home Manager for Bourne View our 68-bed, CQC Good-rated home in Poole.
Youll lead the homes team and manage its resources so that every resident can enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life. Working closely with your Clinical Lead youll ensure that the quality of care and service consistently meets our own high standards and those of our external regulators.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will create and lead a clear vision for the home, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the team to maintain Bourne Views Good CQC rating.
Managing a care home is a complex, influential and highly rewarding role. Alongside leading people, resources and processes, you will build strong relationships with residents, their families, professional contacts and multidisciplinary teams.
Youll also have plenty of scope to build community relationships, grow the homes local profile and identify marketing opportunities. Our customer service and marketing teams will support you in promoting the home to build and maintain strong occupancy.
What can you bring?
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant care home management experience, including experience in a care setting for older people
- A strong track record of performance in line with CQC standards and expectations
- Experience within the private sector, ideally in a medium or large nursing home
- A good understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of running a care home
- An interest in marketing, community engagement and maintaining strong occupancy
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A passion for older persons care
A nursing qualification would be an advantage but is not essential, as you will be supported by an experienced Clinical Lead. A Level 5 Diploma or NVQ in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification, is also desirable.
As the role involves travel during working hours, you must have access to a suitable vehicle, a full UK driving licence, and motor insurance covering business use.
