If you thrive in a complex care environment and are motivated by improving people's quality of life, we would love to hear from you.
About The Blossoms
The Blossoms is a specialist 17-bed service providing support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, including individuals with complex support needs and behaviours that may challenge.
Every person we support has their own personality, preferences, aspirations and goals. Our approach is built around understanding each individual, recognising their strengths and ensuring that support is tailored to their needs.
As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where people are encouraged to develop their independence, exercise choice and live fulfilling lives.
You will lead a dedicated team, build strong relationships with families and professionals, and ensure that high standards of care, safety and dignity remain at the heart of everything we do.
The Opportunity
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operational management and quality of The Blossoms.
You will have the opportunity to influence the culture of the service, develop your team and drive meaningful improvements that deliver better outcomes for the people we support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Team Development
- Provide visible, inspirational and consistent leadership, setting clear expectations and leading by example.
- Recruit, develop, coach and retain a skilled, confident and motivated team.
- Build a positive culture founded on compassion, dignity, respect, inclusion and accountability.
- Support staff to develop their knowledge, confidence and skills when working with people with complex needs.
- Quality of Care and Positive Outcomes
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing.
- Oversee the development and regular review of meaningful support plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans.
- Champion positive behavioural support, ensuring restrictive practices are minimised and appropriately monitored.
- Promote individual rights, dignity, inclusion and opportunities for people to achieve their personal goals.
- Safeguarding, Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Maintain a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring people are protected from harm and their rights are upheld.
- Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and quality indicators, ensuring timely action and learning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards, legislation, contractual obligations and organisational policies.
- Lead inspection preparation, internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement, transparency and high standards across the service.
- Partnerships and Collaborative Working
- Build positive relationships with families, advocates, commissioners, social workers and healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure support is coordinated, responsive and focused on individual outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure people's voices, choices and aspirations remain central to decision-making.
- Operational and Financial Management
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, resources and budgets effectively.
- Ensure the service operates safely, efficiently and sustainably.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, staff performance and the experience of the people we support.
