Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals with varying needs, including those with dementia and other health challenges.
Duties
- Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision.
- Support residents in daily activities and encourage their independence.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with mobility or transferring residents.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is advantageous.
- Qualifications in first aid or relevant healthcare training are preferred.
- Experience in home care or hospice care settings will be considered an asset.
- A background as a nurse or nursing assistant is beneficial but not mandatory.
