Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with both clients and their families.
You will play a crucial role in supporting daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in your care. Leadership qualities and the ability to supervise other staff members are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with their routine activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise junior staff members and guide as needed.
- Document all care provided accurately and promptly in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Take clients for community outings or assist them to perform activities as required, ensuring their safety during outings.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Drivers with a full UK driving licence will be preferred.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising others is desirable.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is beneficial.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients.
- IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently.
