Health Care Support Worker
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and transfers (using appropriate equipment where required)
- Support clients with medication (as per care plan and training)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding where necessary
- Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping)
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
- Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times
Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience in healthcare or home care (preferred but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and health & safety
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Right to work in the UK
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Mandatory training (e.g., Manual Handling, Safeguarding, First Aid) – training can be provided
Working Conditions

Pay: £64,420.00-£95,929.29 per year
Work Location: In person
