We are working in partnership with our client, a growing and well-established provider of children’s residential care, to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a home-based near Stafford.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently achieved.
You will lead and inspire your team to deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care, while ensuring the home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose and all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential home in line with relevant legislation, policies, and Ofsted requirements
- Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children and young people at all times
- Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care that promotes positive outcomes
- Develop and implement service improvement and development plans
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff to maintain high performance and standards
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
- Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and commissioning authorities
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for young people
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required
About You
- Proven experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and children’s home regulations
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage compliance, audits, and inspections effectively
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or working towards)
- Demonstrable experience within a children’s residential home environment
Working Pattern
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Participation in on-call rota (1 in 9)
- Occasional overnight cover as required
