Registered Manager / Service Manager – Mental Health Residential Service
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager / Service Manager to oversee a specialist residential mental health service in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership experience within mental health, complex needs, supported living, residential care, or specialist community services.
Role details:
Location: Leicester
Pay: £45,000 per annum, with potential negotiation for strong multi-site experience
Contract: Permanent contract
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Days: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility required
The service:
The service supports adults with mental health needs in a safe, person-centred residential environment. The focus is on promoting independence, confidence, emotional wellbeing, community integration, and positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the service, supporting staff, maintaining high standards, and ensuring compliance with CQC requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the day-to-day running of the service
- Ensuring high standards of care and support
- Supporting residents with mental health needs and independent living goals
- Managing staff, performance, supervision, and development
- Maintaining CQC compliance and quality standards
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding
- Supporting service development and continuous improvement
- Working closely with internal teams, professionals, families and external agencies
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Service Manager, Deputy Manager or strong senior leader
- Experience within mental health, complex needs, residential care, supported living or specialist services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations
- Confident in managing staff teams and service quality
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred care
- PBS experience would be advantageous
- Multi-site experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
