Children join the home aged 6–10, often having experienced significant trauma, multiple placement breakdowns and disrupted relationships. Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the home and the children who live there.
You will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the home, ensuring safe, effective and high? Quality care
- Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to review and shape practice, policies and procedures
- Lead a well? Established team including a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leaders and Shift Leaders
- Work closely with Education Leaders, Psychologists and Therapists to deliver holistic, individualised care plans
- Play an active role in new referrals, always prioritising the needs and stability of the children already placed
- Uphold and embed the home’s ethos, values and therapeutic culture
- Influence and contribute to future service development
Requirements
- Have a Level 5 Residential Childcare - Leadership & Management
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience gained in a residential settings including, recruitment, training, managing performance, disciplinary interviews etc
- Experience of managing OFSTED inspections, and other regulatory bodies, frameworks, assessment standards and undertaking regulation 44 and 45 reviews
- Experience of handling conflict and managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes
- Experience of working with budgets
- Experience of working in accordance with established policies and procedures and of developing and implementing new policies, practices and procedures
- Experience of managing health and safety issues, undertaking fire safety and health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with legislation
