Responsibilities
- Registered Manager of a 4-bedded EBD children’s home
- Overall responsibility for the safe and effective running of the service
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards
- Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated residential staff team
- Oversee safeguarding, care planning, and risk management processes
- Maintain high standards of care and positive outcomes for young people
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, budgets, and operational performance
- Build strong relationships with external professionals and agencies
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain GOOD Ofsted rating
Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (essential – car driver required)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
- Background in children’s residential care, ideally EBD
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
- Confident and capable leader with staff management experience
- Calm, resilient, and able to manage challenging situations effectively
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
- Strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
