Job Purpose
To provide clinical leadership and accountability for the quality, safety, outcomes and performance of one or more Roczen Online Clinics (ROCs). The Clinical Lead acts as the senior clinical decision-maker for their ROC, supporting clinicians to deliver high-quality care while driving improvements in clinical outcomes, patient experience and service performance.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
ROC Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical leadership for a defined ROC
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex clinical decisions
- Support clinicians with case discussion and clinical decision making
- Promote evidence-based practice throughout the ROC
- Ensure safe delivery of care across the patient population
Quality & Outcomes
- Monitor clinical outcomes and quality indicators within the ROC
- Lead local quality improvement initiatives
- Review patient outcomes, incidents and complaints
- Implement improvement plans where required
- Ensure adherence to company clinical standards and pathways
Workforce Leadership
- Line manages multidisciplinary clinicians within the ROC
- Conduct supervision, appraisal and performance conversations
- Support clinician development and capability building
- Foster a positive, engaged and accountable team culture
Service Performance
- Take ownership of ROC performance metrics
- Work alongside Service Leads to address operational challenges
- Contribute to workforce planning and capacity forecasting
- Support implementation of new pathways and service improvements
Governance
- Participate in governance activities including audits, incident reviews and case reviews
- Escalate risks appropriately
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical standards
- Support organisational governance programmes
Clinical Practice
- Maintain an active clinical caseload, demonstrating exemplary clinical practice
- Act as a role model for clinical standards and patient-centred care
Requirements
Essential:
- Medical degree, full GMC registration and current licence to practise.
- MRCGP or senior registrar-level experience (ST5 or equivalent) in general internal medicine, endocrinology or another relevant medical specialty
- Strong clinical decision-making capability
- Proven capability in, and understanding of, clinical governance, patient safety leadership, and quality assurance processes
- Specialist clinical expertise in obesity medicine, metabolic health, and the safe use of GLP-1 receptor agonists and other weight management pharmacotherapies
- Strong leadership skills and people development skills
- Excellent interpersonal and change management skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex organisational transitions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong experience in digital and tele-health settings
- Significant post-registration experience in primary care, metabolic health, or obesity medicine
- Proven experience in clinical governance and patient safety leadership, including risk management and incident investigation
Desirable:
- Post-CCT clinician included on the GMC GP Register, with experience practising as a GP in the UK
- Experience as a CQC Registered Manager or equivalent leadership role in regulated healthcare delivery
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, and commercial teams to deliver clinically robust services
Schedule:
- Flexibility on part-time or full-time (40 hours per week)
- Our service runs Monday - Saturday, 0800 - 2000, working hours and pattern will be subjected to service needs
