Role Description
- The Lead Senior Care role is a full-time, on-site position based in Wrexham.
- This role involves overseeing daily care activities, supporting residents with personal care, medication, and routines, and ensuring care plans are followed and regularly updated.
- The Lead Senior Carer will guide and mentor care staff, coordinate shifts, and help maintain a positive and efficient care environment.
- Day-to-day tasks include monitoring residents’ wellbeing, communicating with families and healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- The role also includes maintaining accurate records, responding to changing care needs, and contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to support safe care practices and understand clinical needs.
- Customer Service skills to ensure a respectful, responsive, and resident-focused approach.
- Previous experience in senior care, residential care, or a similar care setting.
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Ability to lead and support a team, organize workloads, and make sound decisions in a care environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards in adult social care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
