Abbeyrose Court Community Care is a trusted local home care provider based in St Helens, dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals within their own homes across St Helens and the surrounding areas.
We are currently expanding our passionate team and looking for dedicated Home Care Workers who share our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for others.
Key Responsibilities
As a Home Care Worker, your day-to-day duties will be varied and rewarding, ensuring our service users live with dignity and independence. Responsibilities include:
- Personal Care: Assisting with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene needs tailored to individual requirements.
- Medication Support: Prompting, administering, and monitoring medication in strict accordance with individual care plans.
- Practical Support & Housekeeping: Helping with light domestic duties such as meal preparation, shopping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
- Companionship & Wellbeing: Providing meaningful social interaction, emotional support, and engaging in hobbies to combat loneliness and boost mental wellbeing.
- Monitoring & Documentation: Following individualised care plans meticulously, maintaining accurate daily care records, and promptly reporting any changes in a service user's health or circumstances to management.

- Desirable: Previous experience working in health and social care, domiciliary care, or support work (though not essential).
- Essential Qualities: A natural warmth, patience, empathy, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity at home.
- Requirements: A caring nature, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to work varied shifts to meet our service users' needs. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is advantageous.
