About the Role
We are expanding and looking for an experienced Adult Health and Social Care Assessor to work with learners in domiciliary (mainly), residential and community care settings. You’ll assess practical skills, provide constructive feedback, and ensure learners meet the standards required for their qualifications.
This is a flexible role, combining workplace visits with home-based planning and assessment administration. Part-time or flexible arrangements are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace assessments and observations in adult care environments.
- Support learners to achieve competence in delivering high-quality care.
- Provide detailed feedback and track learner progress.
- Maintain assessment records in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment processes.
- Undertake Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) duties where qualified.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in adult social care, including domiciliary, residential or community support.
- Knowledgeable of current care standards, policies, and best practices.
- Confident in assessing workplace performance and providing guidance to learners.
- Proficient in digital platforms for assessment planning and reporting.
- Collaborative, communicative, and passionate about developing care professionals.
Requirements
- Recognised Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in adult social care, including residential or domiciliary settings.
- Strong knowledge of adult care regulations, person-centred care, and care planning.
- Experience in conducting workplace assessments and delivering constructive feedback.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade B or above.
- IT literate, confident with digital assessment tools and record-keeping.
